• 2 lbs. pork steak, deboned and cut into 1/8" strips
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 3 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced paper thin
  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 3 apples, cored and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 4 green onions, chopped

Marinate the pork strips in the soy, sherry and ginger for 15 minutes. Heat wok or large frying pan, add oil and garlic, then drain the pork and sautee for 4-6 minutes over very high heat. Remove the pork and keep warm.

Add onion slices to pan, sautee until tender, then add apple slices. Sautee until the onions just begin to brown, then return the pork to the pan, add sesame oil, toss briefly and garnish with green onion. Serve immediately.
