Ingredients

  • 2-¼ cups unsifted flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup margarine
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 2.1-oz Baby Ruth candy bars, chopped

Directions

Prehead oven to 350°F. Generously grease cookie sheets.

Mix flour, baking soda and salt, and set aside. Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture and chopped acandy until just mixed (do not overmix), and chill at least 30 minutes.

Drop dough in rounded teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes until just brown. Remove quickly from sheets and cool.
