• 1 lb. flank steak with all fat trimmed off
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 2 large garlic cloves
  • 1 sliced green onion
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 medium-sized red pepper
  • 1 medium-sized yellow pepper
  • 1 medium-sized red onion
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • flour tortillas
  • salsa


Slice flank steak into thin strips across the grain. Combine the next 9 ingredients, and marinate the steak strips in the marinade for 4 or more hours in a refrigerator.

Thinly slice the peppers and onion, and sauté in oil over medium high heat in a 10-inch skillet until tender.

Broil the steak strips about 5 minutes, then serve with sautéed pepper/onion mixture, lettuce, heated tortillas and salsa.
