Ingredients

  • 2 qts water
  • 3 ounces freshly grated ginger root
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground cardamom
  • 3 heaping tbsp black tea
  • 2 qts hot boiled milk
  • ¾ cup sugar

Directions

Bring water to a boil. Add ginger and cardamom, and simmer for 10 minutes. Add tea, bring to a boil, steep 4-7 minutes. Add milk and sugar. Makes 16 cups.
