Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck/hamburger
  • 1 small yellow onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 28 ounces stewed tomatoes (1 large can)
  • 1 chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 lb. red kidney beans, parboiled and left to sit for 1 hour

Directions

Sautee together to cook the ground beef, then put in a large saucepan with:

Cook together for 1 hour. You can optionally add: brown sugar, paprika, fresh ginger (a whole hand!)or replace the kidney beans with black beans that have been soaked.
