Ingredients

  • 16 black mission figs
  • ½ cup water
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ounce fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

Place figs and water in a medium size saucepan and let sit for 10 minutes. Turn heat to medium and bring to full heat. Add sugar, lemon and cinnamon and stir until figs break down. Bring heat to medium low and let cook for approximately 25 minutes.
