Ingredients

  • 1-½ lb. ground beef and/or pork
  • 1 sm can tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons ground chilies
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ small onion, chopped
  • salt to taste

Directions

Sauté the ground beef and the onions in a little olive oil, breaking up the beef as it cooks. Pour off any excess fat, add the garlic and cook for a minute until tender, then add the remaining ingredients. If it tastes bitter, adjust flavor with a teaspoon of sugar.
