This is an easy and wonderful side dish, with a French flair

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup thinly sliced shallots
  • 1 lb. whole trimmed green beans
  • 2 tablespoons vermouth

Directions

Steam or blanche the green beans until just barely cooked. Sauté the shallots in 2 tbsp butter, until brown and carmelized. Add the remaining butter and vermouth to make a sauce, then serve over the green beans.
