A super quick and healthy appetizer

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe Hass avocados
  • 2 tbsp fresh salsa or pico de gallo
  • ½ tsp salt, to taste
  • 1 lime, juiced

Directions

Slice open the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop into a bowl. Add juice from half of the lime, plus the other ingredients, and coarsely mash together with a fork.

Taste, and adjust the lime and salt. You want to just be able to taste each, without them overpowering the other flavors in the guacamole. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Notes

I use fresh chipotle salsa from the local market. Any fresh salsa should work, and if you like hot salsa, you should to adjust the amount so you don't make the guacamole too hot.
