A rich midwestern appetizer, flexible enough to make with dried salami or other meats.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 12 ounces dried beef, cut fine
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts

Directions

Soften the cream cheese by blending in the milk, then mix in all the remaining ingredients except the nuts. Pat into an 8" pie pan, spread the nuts on top, then bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.

Serve hot with crackers or sturdy chips.
